In Vantam, Enforcement officers maintain law and order. This constabulary force is part of the Vantam Department of Public Safety.
In recent years, there has been a bid to privatize Enforcement. A lot of the brass deeply resented the idea that they would become a corporate entity, claiming this would turn them into nothing more than a mercenary outfit. The bid, backed by Swift Winds Trading Company, has stalled out for now. After official announcements were made that privatization was off the table, a new HEI franchise was approved and constructed. Some in Enforcement wonder if Swift Winds is trying to undermine their work by introducing "licensed heroes" to the city.
Public Agenda
Enforcement's job is to enforce municipal law. Officers patrol the streets, make arrests, and investigate crimes. They are also responsible for the operation of Shorebend Correctional Facility.
