Mindlessness
There is a kind of parasite that burrows into the brains of living creatures. The parasite slowly take over the creature's brain and they become empty minded and slow. If the parasite isn't removed in time, it grows throughout the brain, ceasing all activity. Lastly, it grows like flowers through the creature's eyes and ears, and spreads it's seeds through them. If the parasite is removed, the victim will in most cases, become blind because of the remains, but the brain is unharmed.
Transmission & Vectors
The parasite is transmitted through air, originating from the flowers of the victims (originally from a mutated flower[1]). It lands on a creature and the crawls towards the (gropen mellan huvudet och nacken) and burrows itself into the cranium. It may take a couple of days, up to a week, for the parasite to actually start infecting the brain.
Symptoms
Itching in the back of ones head, a constant pain (similar to migraine?)
1 The flower is banned and exterminators must immediately be contacted if it is spotted somewhere to avoid spread.

This is an article in a series that originates from my art during Inktober 2019. I did art for every official prompt in a way that they would relate to my world and some of my characters. This article is for the second day, and the prompt was Mindless.
