Nimah U-Kasim

Nimah is the proprietor of her in-home business Tailoring & Alterations by Nimah, a seamstress.  She is also the mother of Qadim U-Kathiib.  She resides a few blocks away from the well monument in Chukar's Sorrow in Asayabat, above the ground floor shop Rae'ds Rarities.  To almost all that meet her she is an always optimistic source in their life - extremely sweet and nurturing.  
She walks with a very heavy limp and relies on her son to bring in much of the money and run errands for her well-being.  This physical and likely emotional scar she has carried for years of whatever event lies behind it.
She has also never really spoken about Qadim's father to him, and seems to become saddened or avoid the line of questioning all together.  It is also likely the reason Qadim and his mother share different surnames.
Her and Qadim own two cats - Farouq and Said - that were wild strays that became adopted after being repeatedly fed by the small family.
She has a good relationship with her neighbor, Raed Ta-Riyad, the owner of the shop below them.  They have shared the shop for over 20 years, and have become very close friends in that time, partially due to their being of the same generation and worldviews.
