 a geneticist and renowned priestess of Vudun (an old religion brought over during the First Wave) personally visited nearly one hundred planets in her lifetime that supported humanoid native populations. When it was determined by her staff that a race was appropriate for interbreeding, her temples would be built for those colonies. Claudia employed science, “sorcery” and diplomacy to seduce the seed carrying members of these humanoid populations. She knew well how to make anyone fall in lover with her. When she decreed that their seed should be offered as tribute to the Empire there was nearly universal compliance. The seed bearing members of the populations left off impregnating their own and for generations only Cassadite women gave birth in the colonies. It was ingenious. The Empress Claudia converted entire sectors to the Cassad cause without so much as a blast of a canon. However, the deification of the First One Million would have consequences so far reaching that the Cult of the Empress Claudia would seem to be a footnote in the annals of history by comparison  The Alaafins
