The Silkworms

Operating within the shadows, the Silkworms are rarely know of but often spoken about, with many crimes outside the city being blamed on their activities. Those in the know about their true activities understand that the Silkworms are professional thieves, smugglers and assassins, requiring a high price for their services, and with few of their customers being dissatisfied. Stories tell that the Silkworms operate purely for money, taking any job as long as the reward is worthwhile. The many tales and rumours about their activities prove to some degree that the group is at least good at hiding their tracks. Efforts continue to detain a member, but thus far all attempts have failed.

The Trapped Deathlands

It's common knowledge that the home of the Silkworms is Trouphguard, but any who have entered to meet or arrest it's members have met a painful end. Trouphguard and the tunnels beneath have been filled with traps and vicious creatures in order to halt the advance of anyone unwelcome. Only those permitted by a Silkworm are able to enter the tunnels unharmed. A single case has been known of a person making their way into the underground unwelcomed, their stories tell of endless tunnels and caverns stretching far, far beyond the borders of the city. Three days of walking only returned them to the entryway of the tunnels once more.
