The Nights Razor

Though small, the Nights Razor held infamy for many years due to their wild, open assaults on the Imperium and its people, preaching the words of chaos as they killed thousands in over a dozen attacks on almost as many planets. Attacks would range from bombings of local Administratum buildings, releasing chemical weapons in populated habs, to rending holes into the warp at every opportunity.
Each step the Inquisition took against the Nights Razor, they appeared to be a step ahead, each traitor captured or hideout breached lead no closer to the minds behind the cult. It was not until the works of Anitre Calarnus that the the cult was tracked down and destroyed.
No inquisitor or Space Marine, a simple Imperial Sergeant and his squad were responsible for the ending of this heretic cult. Having died from his wounds shortly after the battle, Calarnus was sainted and a shrine created in his honour, a shrine which still stands to this day. Tales continue of the works of Calarnus and his holy squad of guardsmen, and particularly of the battle between the cults leader and Calarnus himself.

Lost Legends

Sadly, tales and legends do little for truth, while the efforts of St. Calarnus were undeniable in halting the works of the Nights Razor many questions remained unanswered. So little was known of the cult that many theorize many of its members live on, more still question that the actual identity of the cults leader, even his name, are unknown. Tales around the campfire often tell that the Nights Razor is still somewhere on Somnium Reach, hidden in the night, waiting for their masters to grant them a new leader.
