Introduction

The setting is the 41st Millennium, and you play a follower of an Inquisitor, a member of the Imperial Inquisition. A covert organisation that investigates heresy, xenos species & influence, and the influence of dark & terrible gods of chaos. It is an empire spanning organisation, and feared by all who know if their existence. The Inquisition will happily exterminate a whole population or even world to stop any form of taint it deems as a threat to humanity. In many ways they act as a secret police, and even loyal citizens are not above being investigated.
It is also set in the years before the Great Rift that has torn the galaxy apart in more recent times. Though, saying this, there is the risk that it may still be witnessed in all it's dark glory.
