Wraith
We have all heard stories of the man with a guilty conscience haunted by the specter of his victims. They whisper in his ear and torment him while he sleeps until he confesses his crimes, or even ends his own life, appeasing the spirit.
Wraiths have no patience for such actions, and would much prefer to simply tear the soul from their victim like a footpad cutting a throat. These spirits form from wrongdoing perpetrated on the living. Betrayals, murder, etc. The spirit of the wronged returns to our world, transformed by their rage and anguish into apparitions that doggedly pursue their revenge. Ethereal in appearance, and often dressed in a way that belays their rage filled existence. The face of the wraith is always obscured, by cloak, hat, or other piece of clothing and it emits a pale light, of varying colors.
Many agents, even private ghost hunters, haven't encountered Wraith's directly, and there's a good chance that they won't. So effective is the Wraith's pursuit of their quarry.
Should someone avoid a Wraith's attacks long enough to both realize what is happening and get help, whoever deigns to assist is in for an uphill battle. No wall or defense stops or slows them, they simply pass through it at will. Bullets, infused with Ghostresin or Hanging Salt, still show their traditional effectiveness against ghosts but it may seem like a Wraith won't even care. Continuing to pursue it's target despite large chunks of it's form being torn away. Employing heavy warding or an already prepared 'panic room' is recommended. Both to protect the Wraith's target and to get it to a battlefield you control.
If you are ill equipped to take it head on, you must work quickly to find the thing that the apparition has bound itself too, like almost all other forms of spirit. Usually it's own body, or an item the subject was particularly fond of in living. A wedding ring or brooch. There are even instances of a Wraith binding itself to a a whole building. Whatever it is, destroy it. They Wraith will quickly fade into nothing.
