Caer Segeint

This town was founded by the imperial army soon after the suppression of the Ordovices and the harrowing of Ynys Môn, built on the high ground east of the Seiont estuary and affording a commanding view of the Menai Straits. The fortress constructed there can hold up to 1000 soldiers, with many bathhouses in the spacious squares, a basilica, and a splendid palace. After the withdrawal of imperial forces, the fortress continued to be used as a defense against the pirates of Eriu. It was here that Cunedda first established his headquarters, for a long time thereafter the seat of the High King of Albion. Much of the city was unfortunately destroyed by the forces of the Dragon Queen of Penllyn.
