Vas Legas

A famous gambling city in Unseelie territory near the Magical Wastes. Famously attributed to the archfey Gambit.

Government

All government proceedings are kept secretive, though it is known that all choices are made by a council of representatives from each of the major casinos on the main strip.

Defences

A hired militia defends the city. They are employed by the council of casino owners. Most owners hire their own personal guard for their personal property as well.

Industry & Trade

Tourism and Gambling is the only real industry in Vas Legas. A thriving service industry follows the call from aspiring gamblers.

Districts

The Main Strip

The hill along the narrow section of land leading up to the two possible pits into Gambit’s domain. The Strip drops off to either side into deep canyons with strong anti-magic and anti-flight enchantments. All of the major casinos are found on the main strip. The Main strip is subject to the magical chance/fate changing effects of Gambit. As the saying goes “anything is possible in Vas Legas”.

The Outer City

The surrounding city of Vas Legas below the hill and outside of the influence of Gambit. This is where most shops, food, residences/neighborhoods, and the cheaper inns are found.

Coinflip Outlook

The outlook at the end of the mainstrip at the top of the Hill. A large balcony overlooks the twin pits that are said to be possible entrances into gambits domain. A large statue of a creature covered head to toe in symbols of luck blocks the face or identifying features. Many people come to see if they can spot which is the correct entrance. Most simply throw coins down into one hole or the other hoping for a boon of luck. A select few climb up onto the railing to jump down into a pit, taking a 50/50 chance at life. Most wimp out before an attempt, much to their own chagrin.
