Swanshore
Swanshore remains one of the oldest towns in Daly, although it has been completely rebuilt on at least 2 occasions following natural disasters.
As such, although it has a spacious and relatively modern layout, it has done its best to reference its history throughout, and you will often see the ancient villa style public buildings alongside more modern houses and shops, or be stopped by the beauty of a well preserved 1000 year old mosaic underfoot.
Swanshore is one of the few towns in the region, and as such tends to attract those from small hamlets and villages looking for more civilisation without heading to a city. It also draws retirees from further south who are looking for somewhere quiet and warm to retire, without having to cross the channel to the Palmbar Colonies.
It sees steady business dealing with trade up and down the river, and has a full dock district where goods coming up and downriver are swapped from the deeper keeled boats that travel onwards to the sea and the barges and shallower draft boats that penetrate upriver.
