Lady Aellarian of Avonel
Originally one of the elves of Avonel, back when Daly was a mostly unsettled land, Lady Aellarian was one of the first to suggest shepherding the humans, half elves, dwarves and more that could be gathered in the immediate aftermath of the sundering to the shores of the island (at that point known mostly by it's original name of Vaqaiisle).
She persuaded her partner, Windwalker Darien, and the rest of the survivors council that Vaqaiisle was mostly uninhabited, mostly temperate, and more importantly, mostly peaceful, and predicted it would be an excellent place for the short-lived folk to recover and even prosper.
She was quick to suggest a place far to the north of her original home- on the banks of the Liot- but within a hundred miles or so of a few of the smaller elven towns so there was somewhere to seek help in dire need.
Lady Aellarian did not live to see Daly become all it could be, death coming at the hands of a ravenous Roc as she fought to protect a group of overly-curious gnomish children.
