History
One of the newest towns in the region, Greenbank was built after the Barony of Karth was formally brought into the Kingdom. It mainly exists because of the ferry that transports travellers and goods quickly and easily over the Liot, and the trade trail that it has enabled, although still not formally recognised as a Kingdom road, is a busy and well travelled path between the East and West halves of the north of the kingdom.
Architecture
There is no shortage of space or resources here, and the town was planned and built knowing it would primarily be catering to traders and travellers. As such, wide gravel roads criss-cross the city with deliberation, many with strips of pleasant park scattered along their length, before narrower roads lead into the heart of smaller neighbourhoods and districts.
Other than the feeder road, most of these districts are pedestrian access only, with well paved paths, plazas and parks running between attractive sandstone apartment buildings or houses.
A loop road around the inside of the town walls is lined with workshops, shops and businesses, and shopping in town is usually referred to as 'taking a loop' by the locals.
