  West Bour

  Situated on the western edge of the Bour forest, West Bour supports itself through its large proportion of fishermen & hunters, as well as being a healthy trade hub for the region.  Previously a capital city of Daly,  it still retains elements of its previous status.  It is home to the Arcane Academy, and has a steady population of young spellcasters. The high proportion of spellcasters draws a specific type of visitors here. The locals who’ve been here for multiple generations often have stories of an uncle or aunt being turned into a newt. They got better. La Liotsound can be reached quickly from West Bour if you are a member of the Arcane Academy (or they owe you a favour) due to their perpetually powered transport circles- set upright as arches inside the Arcane Academy courtyard and the atrium in Spellcaster's Solace in La Liotsound. It is typically quite cold, veering sharply into freezing solid in the winter. The lake has been known to freeze over completely every decade or so.
