Arawn (Arr-ah-warn)
Arawn is the god/dess of Life and Death, commonly accepted to be Neutral, although some call them Evil. Although sometimes referred to as He, Arawn often takes on the form of an impossibly beautiful elf maiden, beckoning the reckless to their death.
Arawn causes the Cŵn Annwn or "Hounds of Annwn" to ride through the skies in autumn, winter, and early spring. The baying of the hounds is identified with the crying of wild geese as they migrate and the quarry of the hounds as wandering spirits, being chased to the afterlife on the orders of Arawn.
Arawn is deeply concerned with the balance of life and death, and eager to preserve the boundaries of death from those who would cheat it, as well as prevent the fall of those not yet due As such, they are deeply against the use of necromancy, and typically the one you must outwit in order to return one once dead back to life.
In addition to death, Arawn brings life- rebreathing the animating force that is taken from those dying into the newly born, imbuing them with vigor and talent. It is said that this, especially, is why many in Daly seem more magical than their counterparts elsewhere- Arawn is gifting them with the echoes of magic known by those who came before.

Holidays
All in the Kingdom typically take Araday as a day of rest. Some particular followers of other gods may also take their specific days as rest, but Arawn is the only god who is almost universally revered.
