The Keep of the Grey Gods
The Keep of the Grey Gods is a large pocket dimension within the Astral Sea, tentatively linked to the Palace of the Bright and the Outlands.
The Keep is said to be an almost endless array of fortified towers, halls, practice rooms, courtyards, weapons rooms, armouries and the like, and is home to Nuada, The Morrigan, Arawn and Math Mathonwy.
Each of these resides in a different area of the Keep, surrounded by their servants and other celestial beings, and each has a very different feel to it.
The Halls of Nuada are spartan and austere, with well maintained weapons and armour hanging on the walls at regular intervals, and multiple drilling areas of different terrains. It's central point is a large tactical planning chamber, which appears as a general's tent, and the maps on it's table cover many planes of existence.
The Morrigan's Court consists of many large, open courtyards, where some form of battle can usually be seen raging, mirrored here from current or previous conflicts. Elevated walkways around these allow for easy observation, and the central point is a round, open topped tower where The Morrigan sits absorbed by the battles below.
Arawn's Walk is an oddly endless series of battlements, with sheer drops to either side, and a continual wind flows up from one side and back down the other. At times of disaster or danger, this wind is almost overwhelmingly strong- in peacetime, it is but a gentle breeze. The centre of her domain is a large, circular hall, where she paces the edge looking at the walls, which display life and death happening everywhere all at once. Occasionally she reaches into the wall and adjusts something, and twined around her fingers are strings of light of different colours that she pulls from the walls with one hand while twisting and smoothing them with the other to be fed back into the walls.
Math Mathonwy's Maze is a dizzying array of towers of different dimensions, many linked with narrow bridges at great height and some seemingly completely unlinked from anything. Concepts like up and down mean little in the maze, but if you find the centre you find a gorgeous throne room, where Math sits attended by her servants in luxury and ease.
