Goldenfort (gəʊldənfɔːt)
Goldenfort is less of a town, and more of a giant castle that many live in. It was built by the ancestors of the Bátor family, and it's beautifully constructed, full of Gold decor and countless rooms for its citizen to live in - some rooms being their own little house layouts and even as big as houses elsewhere.
Demographics
Not all are allowed into the castle, you usually have to be some sort of Mage or nobility to gain entry. Many of its citizen follow the Crystalblood culture, although the similar beliefs between the citizen is not difficult to explain since they technically live in a large communal dorm of some sort - taking meals and baths together - getting to connect with each other in the process.
Government
The Lords own certain sections / corridors of a floor, which they rent out.
Districts
The various floors of the castle are their own districts:
The Commons Floor - hundreds if not thousands of guest rooms, where the average citizen lives. It has around 6-8 kitchens and bathhouses, is equipped with training facilities, tavern-like party and drinking rooms, libraries, and much more... At the far end of it is the stairway that leads into the floors above, with the throne of the Ruler right in-between.
The Administrative Floor - it's merely a nice name for a noble district, which is right above The Commons Floor. It's also where everyone involved in governing and working for the settlement, including the Guards, live.
The Academy Floor - a floor for learning and studying magic.
The Fourth Floor - no entry is granted into the fourth floor.
The Cellar - there's also a large floor underground that is dark and damp. It's the dungeons of Goldenfort, where prisoners are kept, and magical experiments take place.
Guilds and Factions
None really, the settlement itself is like one large faction.
History
The settlement was taken over by the Leviathan Inquisition during The First Hunt. Ever since then they officially follow the Church of the Old Gods.
Points of interest
They say the beautiful communal baths, and some of the dishes local Cooks make are some of the things worth trying here.
