Basic Information
Anatomie
Rostramids are a slim and slender race of demonic blood mages that exist in both male and female forms. Their outward appearance is distinctly demonic, characterised by distinctive horns and spikes running along their head and extremities. They have two arms, two legs and a tail. Their deep black skin is leathery and covered in scales, with small grooves running across their body like veins. These grooves glow faintly in a red glow that intensifies when magic is used.

Male Rostramids tend to have a somewhat stronger and more muscular build, while their female counterparts have a slimmer figure. The horns and spines on the head and along the extremities are a striking feature. In males, these are larger and more massive, while females are more delicate. Another distinguishing feature is the tail, with males having a stronger and longer tail, while the females have a more elegant one.
Genetik und Vermehrung
The reproduction of Rostramids is similar to that of other demonic races in the realm. They collect life energy from the blood of their victims, which they store within themselves. As soon as a certain amount is reached, they can enter the so-called Incubarium. In this phase, they transfer the collected life energy to special breeding sites in which new Rostramids grow. The sex of these depends on the sex of the demon that initiated the Incubarium.
Wachstumsrate & -stadien
When demons enter the Incubarium, some of the transferred life energy is absorbed by them, improving their abilities and increasing their body, strength and power. This also applies to the Rostramids.
Ökologie und Lebensräume
They have no specific preference for a particular habitat, it just has to be within the Black Lands. This is where they feel most comfortable and can fulfil their respective tasks most efficiently. Although they are not very adaptable, their blood magic allows them to find their way around outside their homeland.
Ernährung und Gewohnheiten
The Rostramids have a unique method of gaining the life energy they need. Like other demons, they do not actively go hunting themselves, instead they are involved in the conflicts and battles of their citadel as battle mages. After the clashes, they scour the battlefields in search of suitable corpses. Using their blood magic, they extract the blood from the remains to gain life energy. This collected blood is then processed in their laboratories to produce Sanguinara, a special potion of pure and powerful life energy. This potion is intended for the higher-ranking demons to increase their power. Some Rostramids cannot resist the temptation and absorb life energy directly on the battlefield, while the majority concentrate on the consumption of Sanguinara.
Behaviour
They maintain a mixture of cooperative and competitive behaviour among themselves. As blood mages, they share their knowledge of their magical abilities with each other in order to improve their skills. At the same time, however, they also compete for the best resources and laboratories to produce Sanguinara. This mixture of co-operation and competition creates a dynamic hierarchy within their community. The Rostramids are respectful and subservient to higher-ranking demon races. They see it as their task to produce the powerful potions that provide the higher demons with additional life energy. This service not only gives them protection within the hierarchy, but also the opportunity to establish themselves as important members of demonic society. The Rostramids show little emotion towards their enemies. Their focus is on their blood magic and the production of Sanguinara. Any hostility is carried out pragmatically and without personal emotion.

The Rostramids' facial features are striking and give them a unique, demonic expression. Their long and slender faces radiate a certain gloomy elegance. Here they continue their research and search for new knowledge. In rare cases, Rostramids even leave the Black Lands and travel to other realms. However, these excursions are made exclusively on behalf of their citadel.
