Anatomie

Efreet are fascinating creatures with a striking appearance and a deep connection to fire magic. Their muscular, humanoid torsos are covered in glowing, often red-orange skin that radiates heat and gives the impression that they are filled with inner fire. Their broad shoulders and strong arms testify to physical superiority and strength. As for the lower part of their body, it consists of a manifestation of fire magic that occurs as a swirling, flame-like appearance and makes them float. This magical manifestation is part of their natural abilities and emphasises their connection to fire and flames. They often have broad, curved horns that underline their demonic nature.

Genetik und Vermehrung

They reproduce in a way that is typical for most demons. To create new Efreet, they must collect life energy from the blood of their enemies. This collected life energy is then transferred to their breeding grounds during the Incubarium, where new Efreet grow inside them.

Wachstumsrate & -stadien

Like the other demon races, Efreet can only grow in size and power during the Incubarium. During the transfer process of life energy, they absorb a portion of it, which stimulates their growth.

Efreet prefer hot and dry environments as their habitat. They feel most at home in deserts, volcanic regions and other fiery landscapes. Here, where the heat is intense and fire is omnipresent, they develop their natural abilities best.

Ernährung und Gewohnheiten

The Efreet have developed a special method of extracting life energy from their enemies. Their fire magic enables them to heat the blood of their victims and vaporise it. This releases the life energy contained in the blood, which can then be absorbed by the Efreet. This unique method enables them to destroy their enemies and collect their life energy at the same time. The Efreet of the Black Lands mainly take part in the battles of the citadels in order to obtain new life energy.

Behaviour

The Efreet display a spirited and proud behaviour, characterised by their powerful fire magic and superior self-confidence. Towards other demon races, Efreet display a mixture of arrogance and dominance. They often consider themselves superior and view most other demon races as inferior. Efreet belonging to the same faction share a strong sense of community based on their feeling of superiority over most other demon races. This shared belief in their own power and strength bolsters their bond with one another and fosters an atmosphere of mutual respect and solidarity within their group. Efreet consider themselves to be an elite group of beings and this self-perception is reflected in their close bond with their fellows and their behaviour towards other races. Efreet generally display extremely aggressive behaviour towards enemies. They fight them with merciless determination as they regard them as unworthy and inferior. They often show an expression of disapproval and disgust, as if they were dealing with something unpleasant. This expression quickly turns to pure hatred when they are facing hostile Efreet. The Efreet of the different factions have deep-rooted feuds with each other and hate each other on a personal level. Each community sees itself as the best and the existence of the others undermines this. They see the elitist behaviour of the others as an affront to their own. Fights between the Efreet are often very destructive and claim many victims, as they have no regard for the lives of their enemies or allies in these moments. The Efreet who live outside the Black Lands show less aggressive behaviour, but are all the more deceitful and manipulative. Instead of attacking their victims directly, they enjoy entangling them in deadly contracts and agreements in order to obtain their life energy. These Efreet have a pronounced penchant for cunning and deception, and they prefer to defeat their enemies through the use of clever tricks and illusions, but do not shy away from confrontation either. Their behaviour is similar to that of the Djinn. They pretend to be able to fulfil wishes, but this is merely a ruse to lure unknowing victims into their traps. Although they are unable to fulfil wishes, this is a persistent superstition that they shamelessly exploit to their own advantage. These Efreet are solitary individuals and do not form communities. They have a less elitist behaviour and do not feel threatened or challenged by other Efreets.

The Efreet in the Black Lands come together in communities within the various factions based on their belief in their superiority. These communities are organised hierarchically and ranking is based on strength and power, but also to a certain extent on intelligence. Those who excel and impress gain respect and authority among their own kind. The most powerful are called Efreet Sultans. They act as leaders and have great influence on the decisions of the community.

The Efreet's head is distinctive and relatively large. They often have large, glowing eyes that look like burning coals and exude an aura of determination and intensity. Their facial features are sharp and intimidating, with a prominent chin and defined cheekbones.

Geographische Herkunft und Verbreitung

The geographical distribution of the Efreet is mainly spread across the Black Lands. These are part of the demonic realm and thus serve the devils. Away from the Black Lands, however, free Efreet can also be found, settling in the vastness of deserts and volcanoes. Places such as the Desert of Shifting Sands or the Desert of Burning Sands are well-known areas where these powerful demons make their home.

They are able to cast complex spells and control fire.

This ability enables them to detect creatures and enemies based on their body heat, for example.

Efreet are also in demand as advisors, their centuries of experience and wisdom valued and utilised by the devils to make strategic decisions and clarify political matters.

The Efreet speak standard demonic, which enables them to communicate with the other demon races. They also have their own language. It has a rough and powerful timbre. It is characterised by deep, guttural sounds and sharp, hissing noises reminiscent of the crackling and sizzling of flames.
