Chotas (Cho-Tas)

Chotas is one of the Western Continents of Dagan. The west is a vast landmass of varying climates, it is divided in two by huge mountain ranges. Chotas, found on the Eastern side of these mountains, is famed for it's powerful nations, wealthy cities and fertile natural landscapes. West of the mountains is the other western continent, called Derian, which consists of mostly of large steppelands with the main settlements only really appearing on the Western coast. 
Chotas is sometimes called 'East Chotas', Derian called 'West Chotas', and the grand central mountain ranges dividing the two known as 'Central Chotas'. This naming convention is bandied about mostly by those nostalgic for the 3rd and 4th Era's grand Empires that spread across continents.
