Infection Survivor

Infection Survivors, commonly called Vectors, are humans that have survived an attack by an Infectious type demon and did not develop demonic possession themselves. Such individuals are immune to demonic possession as though they had been properly infected, though they do not act as a Same-Species Beacon. 

Non-Human Persons

Vectors are currently not considered full humans, as they retain some strange abilities depending on the kind of infectious demon they were initially infected by. Approximately ten percent of Vectors retain the ability to infect others. As a result, Vectors are often treated as dangerous. In some settlements, they are killed on sight or turned away. In NAFZ territory, they are allowed to be taken by the TCRD for research and are offered the chance to join a special Vector-only military unit upon applying for Conditional Citizenship. Those that refuse are sent to Camp Searchlight for permanent quarantine. 
Experimentation on Vectors is widespread. It is believed that if there is a cure or vaccine for possession, it lies somewhere within them, and those taken for testing often never return.
