Opening scene - it’s Oct 12, 2045
- Party and Data traveling down alley, shots hit wall above us
Roll initiative
ROUND 1
- Karma pulls Data behind cover and holds action to shoot
- Npc1 steps out, Karma shoots, hits 16 dam
- Npc1 walks up and shoots at Karma, misses
- Npc2 moves up
- Npc3 shifts, stays hidden
- Circe shoots npc1, downs
- With regard to Circe going to shoot the guy in “his” front → Phox: “I’m not grabbing a dick off a corpse”
- Phox sees they are wearing Tyger Claws gang colors
- Phox shoots with dual wield pistols, hits three shots to down Npc2, tries to coup de grace but misses
- Npc4 hucks a smoke grenade toward other npc bodies shouts “get him out of there”
- Roux shoots to kill Npc2
ROUND 2
- Karma shoots at Npc1 in the smoke, hits and kills
- Npc3 runs up to use Npc1 as body shield
- Circe holds until Npc3 gets closer or body shield is destroyed
- Phox looks to see if the body shield has any explosives on him, but it doesn’t
- Hits body shield and destroys, hits Npc3 with other three shots and downs
- Circe takes held action to shoot downed Npc3, he is supah dead
- Npc4 runs off and we hear a door slam down the alley
- Circe searches bodies: 60 VHP ammo, 3 poor-quality VHPs, 3 regular-quality katanas
- Data gets up nervously after the battle, waffles about how scary it was
*Chance tells Alina that Justin used to have the name Windwalker
Flashback to being given the job details
- We meet Captain Oz/Ass at an bldg, this time on the edge of rebuilds
- 400eb each to escort quarry to night market to sell item, will use proceeds to pay us off
Night Market
- Phox knows the fixer running the market, met once or twice, no major connection
- Karma and Roux walk off with Data, Phox and Circe catch up
- We listen to the haggle happen, Data will make 600eb after paying up off
- Some discussion, Phox hands them a biz card
- Circe gives Phox the scavved katanas to sell
- Haggles to sell them for 100, split 25 each
Next Morning, reporting to Oz (Oct 13)
- Phox and R0UX take subway, meet at bldg with Karma and Circe
- Potential response from Oz about mention of Tyger Claws
- He doesn’t have any jobs for us right now
- Circe repairs the scavved guns
- Raised one from cheap to premium
Friend or Foe Faux?
- “Beautiful” mohawk man sitting at Phox’s seat at The Slammer
- Phox: you looking for somebody
- Guy: oh i found you
- Phox: scoffs in his face and spooks the guy a little
- Guy: so, where’s my pocket watch?
- Phox: ??? wtf
- Guy: sit, let’s talk
- Phox can tell he’s faking his suave-ness, he is not actually cool
- Roux jacks in to view cams
- Recording active convo of Phox and guy and scrubbed thru footage of guy
- Came in looking like a jackass, pretending to be a big deal, bartender points to Phox’s table, ordered water, sitting looking cool and badass
- His name is Riddleriddle: Discusses with Phox that we have to get the watch back, since we were with Data when they sold it, and they got it from him
- Phox is adamant that it’s not our problem, guy threatens to call the cops
- Def not a gang member, mixed colors but no insignia, 1000% believes the cops would show if he called, muscles seem oddly stiff
- Stops him from dialing, Phox “intimidates” kinda: seems like you’re new here
- Guy eyes the place like he knows he isn’t blending in
- Phox knows the gang lieutenant for the area (IronClad), who is sitting at the bar
- Phox: this is a good place for information, news on your watch may have gotten around
- Phox calls over to IronClad to try to say things without saying things: could we give this guy a tour?
- IronClad: sorry we don’t do tours
- Phox points out the varied gang colors
- IronClad: what gang are you with?
- DoubleDiddle: uh, uh, … Maelstrom
- IronClad: really?? What tech you got?
- P.Diddle: uhhh, cyber arms “flexes” stiff arms a tiny bit
- IC & Phox discuss how the Maelstrom guys owe them a fight, half the bar joins and says the guy oughtta go in the ring
- Bitchboy folds immediately, takes off mohawk wig and unstuffs sleeves, he’s just a corpo mofo
- IronClad fucks off back to the bar
- P.Diddle’s real name is Swoyer, he works at city hall, “the watch is important to us”
- Brings out proof of city hall affiliation and whatnot
- Phox tries to recall about Data, nothing of note
- Data is not from the burbs (between japan & china)
- Phox was given the name of the fixer Data met with BULLSEYE
- Phox: ran into gangers on the way to sell it, Tyger Claws
- Swoyer: that’s concerning
- A fixer introduced Data to Swoyer and then they took the watch
- Karma joins at the table, pickpockets Swoyer’s burner and remembers the 8 digits typed out and hands it back, Swoyer asks him not to sit so close but he doesn’t move
- Swoyer: don’t sit so close to me
- Roux (with thousand yard stare not actually in the convo): the line is don’t “stand” so close to me
- Roux joins the table, sitting on the outside of Karma to leave Phox with an easy out
- Phox agrees to get the watch back, but it may not be as fast as Swoyer wants
- 3 days max, but earlier is better
- Concentration check for Karma and Roux to remember about the vendor that bought the watch: Roux knows it was a guy; Karma knows a sign at the booth said Quirks & Curios
- Swoyer gets pushy trying to leave, Roux grips her pistol and bristles
- Phox holds his shoulder getting out of the booth then chucks him away, then tries to card throw his biz card into Swoyer’s suit pocket, but just hits his shoulder and he keeps walking
