Pripyat
Pripyat is a ghost-city in Northern Ukraine, once a city created to serve the nearby Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, now an abandoned, evacuated piece of the Chernobyl disaster's exclusion zone.
As of the Uprising it is only home to Pink-Eyed Elves who were born and corrupted from the nuclear fallout in the area, though many fae journey there to aid in efforts to clear the radiation and make the place livable again.
Government
Pripyat is a largely self-governed and disorganised, with trade and reconstruction efforts negotiated mostly between Scrappers and Pink-Eyed Elves. Work on the Power Plant iself is governed by the Wood Elf Scrapper Nadezhda and City Elf Sophie, who were placed in charge by Ondela nii del Ora on their departure from the country.
Infrastructure
While many of the original buildings are overgrown, torn down or unusable to regular humans, the pink-eyed Elves have made themselves at home there. Of the original infrastructure there remains in use:
- Education: 6 of the 15 kindergarden and elementary schools, and two of the secondary schools
- Healthcare: The original hospital, some of which has been semi-restored and warded against radiation, and one clinic
- Transportation: Yanov Railway Station, though unable to be used for its original purpose, has been refashioned into a City Skyline leading in and out of the city and beyond.
- The Chernobyl Power Plant, as of the year 18P.B., is in the process of being rebuilt and repurposed into a small town-structure for the pink-eyed elves to live in once the exclusion zone is cleared and repaired.
- Trading stalls are set up in varying areas across the town, providing food and technology from the rest of the country.
