Vallaki Town Square

The town square in Vallaki is a gathering place for the locals and the site of many of Baron Vargas Vallakovich's morale raising festivals. Notices can often be found posted all over the square, especially to announce the upcoming festivals. One end of the square holds sets of stocks, where those who are guilty of "Malicious Unhappiness" and other related crimes are held for up to 10 days, all while wearing a plaster donkey's head. 
The party witnessed the Festival of the Burning Sun here, and the arrest of a guard who laughed when the effigy of Strahd failed to light due to the untimely rainstorm.
