Queen Arsinoe III Character in Cumae: The Orbis | World Anvil

Queen Arsinoe III

Autarch in the mid 4000's, during a period of strong Tozzite influences on popular culture in the Empire, Queen Arsinoe's main political accomplishments were to establish a strong trading relationship with the Dovalni Elves for the import of timber, iron, tin and coal in exchange for exports of ceramics, sheep and the new printing devices that used plates rather than manual power to print text. She sent troops and ships to aid Toz in their war against the Amossans, which had the unintended impact of further destabilizing the peninsula rather than granting a swift Tozzite victory; after her death the policy was reversed. She was buried with the pomp and circumstance as befitting an Empress, but her mortuary temple was pillaged for stone and treasure by later dynasties offended by a past Empress with Tozzite trappings, as they were at war with Toz, and its location was lost to history.   ((The location was re-discovered by Lord Tsotha in relatively recent time, about 900 years ago, and he built his own tomb into the remaining subterranean, unmarked portion of her temple. The Shenanigators, in seeking the sword of the Cenotaph and to secure one of the transit points from the underdark, unwittingly re-discovered his discovery when they found a secret door in his tomb.))
