The Desert Inn
Aiming to be the last stop before attempting to cross Suudaal Desert, The Desert Inn is about 25 miles north of Draygen. No other settlements or trade posts are known before Tonbric. Travelers coming south cannnot stand but stop and spend coin at The Desert Inn. This appears to be part of the marketing plan.
Defences
The Desert Inn is protected by a small group of guards. Wooden walls surround the inn, stables, and courtyard. Guards man two guard towers day and night.

History
Unfortunately, The Desert Inn has a storied past.
The former proprietor, Malloc, used the inn in a partnership with a local Goblin horde fencing anything they stole from customers. Together, they operated several unsavory businesses including slaves. Malloc's whip was vicious. But, that is over. Thanks to a band of adventurers. Unfortunately, Malloc got away and is still roaming The Ohne Islands.
These events are the reason the band of adventurers changed the name from "The Desert Beetle Inn" to "The Desert Inn."
Now, the Desert Inn is owned by some adventurers and ran by Minnar. There's an able armorsmith, sufficient stables, and clean beds for the weary travelers. Good food and occasional music make The Desert Inn much more than the last chance before making the Suudaal Desert crossing.
Geography
Nearly everything has to be brought in which is costly. Luckily, the inn is no longer a last chance; but, is evolving into a good place to stay. The Sassurah Mountains stand to the east and the Suudaal Desert is west.
Natural Resources
Water is the only natural resource available. The ability to make a well is probably the only reason The Desert Inn was built here.
