Dragon King Humbata - Public
Dragon King, Scaled King, Platinum King, Crystal King Tetsuo Ikana Cifer
Dragon King Humbata is the Avatar of the Dragon God of the same name and is Lord of the interstellar draconic empire of Platicalex. He is a leader of goodly Humans, Dragonborn, Kobolds, and Dragons; often viewed as a champion of fairness and equality under the law. The current Dragon King, Tetsuo Ikana Cifer, continues on strong in the fight against the evil Arch-Traitor Itatma, her King, fellow traitors, the Ruinous Powers, and others. It is said that each of the forms he can take appears to be one of the forms taken by the Platinum Lord back in the World-That-Was.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
He stands 6'3" tall with a lean but muscled build in human form.
Like the other Kings both Crystal and Traitor, the Dragon King is normally at peak physical condition for whatever form he takes.
Apparel & Accessories
The current Dragon King's day to day apparel is a rather plain and simple - and to the chagrin of some that directly work for and with him - unprofessional for someone of his stature.
A pair of black boots below a pair of dark grey pants, a black and yellow jacket covered his arms and back while revealing a very light grey shirt.
A plain platinum stud sits on each ear as a thin chain hangs about his neck. Hanging from the chain is a single dragon-scale. Engraved upon is a simple phrase and two names.
"Remember the dead brother and lost sister - Roidras, Itatma"
Specialized Equipment
The Dragon King's most widely known piece of equipment is his iconic weapon and divine artifact, The Wyrm-Glaive Bicuralex.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
The line of the Dragon King is one that begins in fire and blood during the Age of Chaos.
It was the first of the Dragon Kings, the dragonborn Thorvus Kirin Vauss, that dealt with the first true threat to Platicalex after Humbata faded into Roth'eld'wor. None know for certain where the thing known as Will-of-One appeared and began infecting the minds of mortals and wyrms alike. What began in the year 2530 was a bloody civil war that broke the humbatan dragons into two groups - the Precious and Ferrous Metal Dragons. Though It cost nearly two hundred years and the lives and minds of dragons and non-dragon alike, and that of the Dragon King himself, the force known as will-of-One and its thralls are killed or driven from Platicalex space. In the year 2700 the schism is declared over with many of the Ferrous breeds extinct or at possible extinction numbers; and the death of the first Dragon King Humbata.
The next Dragon King was the Dragonborn Varnum Ardus Athis made it twenty seven years before a conflict came to the realm of the Dragon King that required his direct attention - in the year of 2751. An interstellar Orc empire named Orsciliath controlled thirteen star systems, in a cluster previously cut off from the rest of Platicalen Space by Otherworldy Storms, had emerged on a war-path towards the imperial core and Rubicalex. Thirteen years, six solar systems, and millions of dead Orcs, Humans, Dragonborn, and Kobolds later, Orsciliath was no more than dust in the wind and pages in history books. For nearly two thousand years after boundries of Platicalex continued to expand as contact was made with the various empires of both Crystal and Traitor King alike.
Though the Dragon King did participate in various conflicts and issues to pass the time and be more active in Platicalex, nothing truly demanded or held his full attention until the events on the world of Ithrim five and the Otherworldly Incursion of the God-Fiend Scedesedorsa. Though the monster was banished back to her realm, that Dragon King lost his life in doing so. It was then that the current Dragon King Humbata would be born to the mortal name Tetsuo Citer, eventually ascending to his Great Crystal Throne. He would indeed participate in various battles and events across Platicalen Space, but thus far it was his efforts in establishing The Kings Alliance and Inquisition that would be his greatest act by the year five thousand of the Age of Kings. Since then, the Dragon King has waited and planned for the eventual battles against the Traitor Kings to come.
Education
As is standard for every Crystal and Traitor King, the current Dragon King Humbata was taught by the best educators Platicalex and certain coffers could find.
Employment
Like other Crystal Kings, Dragon King Humbata's only job is leading his people and defeating the traitor kings; the divinely appointed duty of any who bear the mantle of King.
Accomplishments & Achievements
While all three Dragon Kings have many achievemnts, each has one that marks them in history. The first, Thorvus Kirin Vauss, defined himself as the general by driving the Will-of-One out of Platicalex with masterful strategy and perhaps a dash of luck. Second was Varnum Ardus Athis, known as the paladin for his sacrifice to keep the world of Ithrim Five in the materium. Third and current Dragon King Humbata, Tetsuo Ikana Cifer, will likely be known into the future as the unifier for his efforts in creating the Kings' Alliance and Inquisitorium.
Failures & Embarrassments
Both the current and Dragon Kings of the past consider the Ferro-Cious Schism a failure on their part - be it one of leadership or vigilance.
Taboos
Though they may vary amongst the various incarnations, the Dragon Kings core beliefs causes all of them to find these things taboo.
- Oppression and Tyranny: Seen as a champion of freedom and justice under the law, he is opposed to oppression and tyranny. Those who attempt to subjugate or rule over others with an iron fist are most often evil.
- Betrayal and Deceit: Given divine history, the King Humbata sees betrayal, deceit and backstabbing as a grave sin. Lying to allies, undermining trust, or engaging in treacherous acts that harm others for gain are the acts of scum like the Arch-Traitor Itatma.
- Abuse of Power: The Dragon King is an avatar to a deity that values the good aspects of law, and sees the misuse of power or authority to be nearly as bad as tyranny. Exploiting one's position to harm, manipulate, or control others for personal gain or gratification is the sign of a soul on the path to damnation.
- Disregard for Redemption: He firmly believes in the potential for redemption and forgiveness. Actions that deny others the chance to reform, grow, and find their way back to the path of righteousness are in violation of Humbata's teachings of goodness and law.
- Refusal to Cooperate: He firmly believes in unity and collaboration, but understands pride as any draconic being would, and so rejecting opportunities to work together are frowned upon while actively sabotaging efforts to achieve common goals a sin near treachery.
- Neglect of Responsibility: As an aspect of law and order, intentionally neglecting one's responsibilities is viewed as vile, especially when it comes to serving and protecting those who are vulnerable and in need.
- Willful Ignorance: He understands the importance on learning from the past and preparing for the future. Ignoring history's lessons or refusing to adapt to the ever changing circumstances of the present might are seen as wrongly Humbata's wisdom and teachings.
