Crudism "Crude' Blood" (CROOD)

Crudism or being of "Crude Blood" is a cursed affliction of divine origin. Those afflicted with Crudism have Black Blood and are always strongly aligned with M'Guglagoth the God of Monsters and Pain. It is the nature of this affliction that no creature be born with it. Crude individuals have red blood at birth, like all natural creatures, but after accepting evil ways it becomes forever black as ink.

Biological effects.

Crudism assures that the creature is evil aligned with M'Guglagoth in a way that can not be treated or cured. Natural creatures will not eat Crude meat because it tastes foul (But Crude eat anything). Black blooded individuals are immune to all natural venoms and poisons but not alcohol.

Crude Races.

Many evil races are commonly called "Crude" due to the fact that their entire populace consists of black blooded kin. But scholars point out that newborns of these species, if raised goodly, could mature into red blooded adults without the influence of M'guglagoth. Examples of such are rare, such as- entire clans of red blooded Orcs, goblins, Bugbears and even Lizerdmen living in in

Divine Implications.

Crude individuals are normally aligned with M'Guglagoth but on rare occasions can switch to worship another God or Gods. It is even possible (not probable) for a Crude creature to attempt turning to the Gods of Balance or Light where they will be refused. But the overwhelming norm is-- Crude raises Crude, raises Crude, raises Crude, indefinitely.

Divine limitations.

Humans and halfelves are both immune to Crude's disease while Dwarves, Elves and Halflings are not. It is extremely rare for deminhumans to suffer this cursed affliction but there do exist historic records of it happening in the distant past, such as the creation of Drow and the Druegar races. It is assumed that Humans are immune to Crudism due to their direct relation to Laydi'wahni "The White Lady"

Affected Groups

Crude Races. Only Humans and Halfelves are immune to Crude's Disease, but there is a strong correlation between the affliction and certain races as a whole. Species such as- Orks, goblins, Bugbears, Kobolds, Gnolls, Nords and Ogers, etc are highly susceptible to Crudism. Scholars believe these races are actually created for the sole purpose of carrying the disease. This would explain the absence of infection in almost all demihumans. This weakness to Crudism is what cultivates the scientifically incorrect term "Crude Race".
* It must be noted- such a terms as "Crude Race" are not only scientifically incorrect, they are offensive to the hundreds of Orks, Bugbears, Goblins, etc- that live uninfected by Crudism.
