The PTP is the forefront of the Protestant Industrialist foothold within the Retribution Wastes with its corporate office located conveniently in the Crossroads Proper surrounded by the various towering religious structures within the settlement. Considered neutral to nearly every faction within the Wastes- the Foundation is loyal only to the spirit of commerce.

Demography and Population

The Foundation consists mainly of Caucasian, Protestant employees in terms of their upper corporate structure (management, research and development, etc.). The lower levels of the structure, reserved for factory workers and general laborers, is a good mix of individuals of the other demographics (both race and religion) within the Wastes.

Technological Level

One technological marvel provided by the Foundation is the production and distribution of the Spinal Spear. The harpoon gun is a staple of ranged combat out in the Wastes as it provides the best balance between overall damage and allowance of mobility/maneuverability for a fair price. From simple farmers trying to protect their livelihood to mercenaries protecting their lives- almost everyone in the Wastes can gain access to a Spinal Spear. Some attempts at recreating the Spinal Spear have been made outside of the scope of the Foundation by some individuals- but if there's one thing that's important to the PTP: it's protecting their copyright.

Agriculture & Industry

After the discovery of New Silk- so cleverly named after its predecessor that was excreted from tinier, less carnivorous silkworms- the From Pennies to Penance Foundation quickly got to work in developing a division specifically catered to this revolutionizing material so that everyone across the region could enjoy New Silk at a moderate and competitive price. And thus the New Silk Harvesting Division was born.

With the advent of railroads, both goods and services are easily transported from the different parts of the Crossroads as well as neighboring countries with connected railways and the proper trade agreements.

Parts from monsters within the Retribution Wastes are actually quite high in terms of demand by the more affluent people connected to the PTP's trade network. These parts, to these individuals, are seen as trophies or decorations to be had in their homes. And in other cases- researchers pay for these very same parts in the hope of remotely researching The Cataclysm and the monsters that seemed to be produced from it.

Major Imports

Generally essential materials for survival like food, religious tools, cloth/clothing, and weapon materials are what's brought into the Wastes by the PTP. On special occasions (when an individual or group has the coin to spare) luxury goods have been known to come in as well for those that are craving something special from their homelands.
