Quinton's Bois Dark Fey Romance Ball

Setting Information:

Security:
  1. Parking and Entering:
  2. The first line of Security is that all guests will be parking in the secure/private Underground Parking Garage, which has an Elevator leading straight up to the Luxury Apartment and Convention Center Lobby. This is the choke point which helps ensure control over who is coming and going.
  3. The Lobby/Security Check Point:
  4. The Lobby will be a Security Checkpoint which all Guests will have to go through to attend the party. Part of the Security Team will be located here to check people in and make sure they aren't bringing in anything dangerous like weapons. The Security Checkpoint will also have a designated team from the Sheriff's Office to act as Kindred Security.
 
Event Floor Plan:
  1. Entryway/Security
  2. This is the Lobby. Once through Security they will go to either an Elevator, or a set of stairs which will take them up to the Ballroom and/or the Rooftop Garden. Both the Elevator and Stairwells will be fully decorated in such a way to try and make the Guests feel as if they are traveling through the Hedge to get to the Ballroom.
  3. Main Dance Floor
  4. The Dancefloor is located in the corner of the rooftop garden. The giant blue crystal is where the Bands can be seen playing as if it were a TV of them. Reaching out to either side will be the red crystals which act as a wall/boundary for part of the Dance Floor.
  5. The Bar
  6. The Bar is located along one of the corners of the rooftop garden. They make all sorts of drinks here at the bar, but the "Special" drinks are pulled up from a dumbwaiter from the Taproom.
  7. The "Tap Room"
  8. This is where the Bartenders retrieve the fresh/rarer bloods for their Kindred Guests. Inside here you find several mortals restrained around the room with a mixture of conventional chains/handcuffs, as well as their bodies being physically melded with the walls, floors, etc. Sticking out from each of their Torsos you can see the typical Tap handle with the spicket protruding from the mortal's flesh, from which warm fresh blood runs freely from whenever the Bartenders pull the handles. Each handle has a coded label on them so that the Bartenders can find exactly what they are looking for.
  9. The Rooftop Garden
  10. There are stairs and another Elevator which descend from the Rooftop Garden into the specially themed rooms below. Just like the ones used upon arriving, the stairways and elevators are fully decorated to give the impression of travelling through the "Hedge" to another part of the Fey-Realm.
  11. The "Dream Room"
  12. The Dream Room is filled with pillows, blankets, and all other kinds of bedding to lose yourself in. Spread out among the very dimly lit room you can see various sleeping Mortals. With a little closer inspection you see that they are sleeping so heavily that there is no way that they are not sedated.
  13. The "Palace of Depravity"
  14. The Palace of Depravity is a very dimly lit portion of the lower level with the scent of incense, and other delights wafting through the air. There are several rooms within the Palace, most of which are divided by curtains or beads. Though there are rooms for any and all who would prefer their privacy. Despite the groups of mortals lounging around in the various rooms filled with pillows, mattresses, etc. their voices barely travel beyond the curtains/beads that slightly obscure your vision. One of the doors in the Palace is set to look like a heavy iron bar door like those you might expect to find in a Prison. In front of the door stands a massive man in a Guard Uniform, who is responsible for letting folks in (and out) of the "Dungeon".
  15. The "Dungeon"
  16. The Dungeon is the room set up by the Circulatory System that allows Kindred to feed from other Kindred in a "safe" manner. It is themed as a BDSM Dungeon with mortals and Kindred alike chained/tied up inside.

Confronted Primogen Willow Cromwell

  1. Learned the Primogen's Dark Secret that he is a Cleaver, feeding mainly from his Mortal Descendants.
  2. Rex McCray embarrassed the Primogen by stopping him before he could go up the stairs to join the other Primogen, Prince, and Baron. Rex kept him waiting there for several minutes while he "Checked the List". The Primogen, Prince, and Baron could see this and were seen laughing among each other as they looked over at Primogen Cromwell.
  3. Douglas embarrassed the Primogen by walking up to check on the Court, and proceeding to get a Messy Critical upon entering the Loft where the Court was hanging out. Douglas pulled all attention from the Prince and Baron away from Primogen Cromwell, who was completely ignored while Douglas was there.

Confronted Keeper of Elysium Valentine

  • Keeper Valentine lured the Saoirse into a social confrontation, by purposefully making a really lame joke, causing Saoirse to call out the Keeper about her joke being dumb.
  • The Keeper expressed why she thought the party was lame and could have been so much better. Criticized the Location, the presence of Prostitutes is in poor taste and the use of the Circulatory System aka Human Trafficking is disgusting. The Keeper ended the fight claiming that Saoirse fails to understand Kindred Society, which is why she will never amount to anything, especially not Primogen.
  • Jax surprised the Keeper when he joined in to defend his Coterie-mate, but ultimately the Keeper destroyed Saoirse in Social Combat. Saoirse was forced to storm off on the edge of Frenzy. The rest of the Coterie followed.

Entertained Praxis

  • Fancy Gifts Upon Arrival: Saoirse organized and provided expertly crafted gifts for the Prince and the Baron. The Baron receive a Sword and the Prince a unique Necklace.
  • Douglas Messy Critical to Entertain: Douglas walked up to check on the Court, and proceeded to get a Messy Critical upon entering the Loft where the Court was hanging out. This drew the attention of the Court, leaving Primogen Cromwell totally ignored, and ensured that the Prince and Baron thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
  • Parting Gifts: Douglas handed out the Party Favors to all of the Guests as they left, rolling a 7 and 8 on his Social Roll for this giving a great impression when the Prince and Baron left.

Rising Action

The Lady in Red Arrives

  • The Coterie noticed that the Prince was walking alongside Senator Maxwell, over towards the Lady in Red and Penny where they join in the conversation and appear to make introductions between the Prince and the Lady in Red.
  • Quinton notices the Lady in Red standing on the side of the Dance Floor talking with his Touchstone, Penny, and begins to panic. The Coterie prevents him from Frenzying, and then Jax, Douglas, and Tala follow him over as he goes to confront the Lady in Red.
  • The Coterie was introduced to Senator Maxwell and his Date, The Lady in Red who goes by Mrs. Smith. Upon shaking the Senator's hand, Quinton noticed a Kraken Tattoo on the Senator's wrist which sent Quinton into a Premonition.

  • The Prince noticed Baron Omar talking one on one with Saoirse, so she excused herself to go prevent any issues by asking the Baron to dance.
  • Quinton successfully convinced Penny that he was one of Quinton's Descendants with a Deception roll of 8 Successes.
  • Quinton and the Coterie helped push the Senator into committing a large amount of financial support to Penny and her organizations right at that moment.
  • As the Lady in Red and the Senator made their way out, the Coterie split up to wrap up the evening.

Baron Omar and the Freedom Fighters Arrive

  • Baron Omar and the Freedom Fighters entered the Party minutes after Saoirse had stormed away from the Keeper and their confrontation. The Coterie joined her on the Dance Floor, but Saoirse was looking for a fight, so she gestured Baron Omar to join them.
  • The rest of the Coterie left Saoirse to handle the Baron as they joined Quinton to go talk to the Lady in Red.
  • After minutes of the Baron and Saoirse talking, the Prince stepped in and asked the Baron to Dance, which he agreed to. They then hit the dance floor for some Ballroom Dancing. Their immense presence caused them to be the only one on the floor as everyone quietly watched. Upon completion, the Baron walked her off the floor, handing her over to Vincent Dane. The Prince and Vincent left the Party and the Baron went back to join the Freedom Fighters.
  • As the Prince and Baron were dancing, Saoirse signaled to the Butler to have the Mortals escorted off the roof to the lower levels.
  • Saoirse and the Baron talk once more for a while, with the Baron poking and prodding Saoirse trying to provoke her. Upon failing her Frenzy Roll, she turned to walk away but immediately turned back, activating a Blood Surge for Strength and her Potence power of Prowess, and threw a punch at Omar.

Climax

Quinton's Bois and the Freedom Fighters Clash

    The fight began after Baron Omar spent a long time poking and prodding Saoirse to get her to lose her shit, and they were successful. Saoirse eventually frenzied causing her to turn and punch Omar right in the face, causing 1 Aggravated Damage. Saoirse and Baron Omar exchanged a couple of blows but Saoirse was quickly knocked into Torpor. Jax and Ted Tanner both used Levinbolt to throw lightning around, and cause lightning to strike from the skies twice. Ultimately Ted Tanner was killed by Jax with Levinbolt before Jax was knocked into Torpor. Quinton used Dementation to cause Blaze Rogers to turn and run, jumping off the edge of the building and vanishing out of sight. The Sheriff, Hound, and Primogen Cromwell arrived to help out. As the Sheriff and Hound confronted Omar, Primogen Cromwell used Dread Gaze on Pierre Bellemare causing him to be forced to flee in terror. He jumped off the roof with weight of the feather. He landed and ran off out of sight. Suddenly there was an explosion from the top of the Resolute Spire, the Prince’s Tower, causing everyone to look in that direction. When they looked back, Baron Omar had already used Celerity to take advantage of the distraction to escape.

Falling Action

The Coterie took their wounded down to the room that was nicknamed the “Tap-Room” for their party. The Wellerman provided the Vitae of an older Lasombra to the Coterie as they needed to wake Jax and Saoirse out of Torpor. Having drank from a Lasombra, Jax, Saoirse and Tala gained access to learning Oblivion.
  • Jax learned Oblivion from the Lasombra.
  • Tala learned Oblivion from the Lasombra.
  • Saoirse did not immediately try to access Oblivion. (Not enough exp)
After updating Jax and Saoirse on what they missed, they began prepping to head to the Prince’s Tower.
  • Saoirse used Draught of Might to give her Coterie access to Potence.
  • Quinton learned Fortitude from Saoirse when receiving Draught of Might.
  • Jax learned Fortitude from Saoirse when receiving Draught of Might.
Having access to new Fortitude Powers, Quinton was able to heal Saoirse’s Aggravated Damage, then immediately he ran off to the Prince’s Tower, choosing to use Obfuscate and his temporary Potence powers to jump from one rooftop to the next, all the way to the Prince’s Tower. Quinton received 15 successes as he made his way across town, looking like a badass, and was able to use a winged jump suit to jump from a building adjacent to the Prince’s Tower and glide onto one of the floors that exploded. Meanwhile Tala, Jax, and Saoirse got suited up before heading out. Saoirse and Jax went on their motorcycles. Tala had to steal a Motorcycle, with a Bestial Failure which activated her Clan Bane. They encountered Scruff McGruff who was posted at the Blockade on the street leading to the Resolute Spire to prevent civilians from entering. Scruff McGruff allowed the Coterie to go by as they arrived.

Resolution

Successfully Expanded Mortal Influences

  • Saoirse spent time mingling with the Mortals they had invited, ensuring that various groups were introduced to each other. This led to the Coterie increasing their sway among the Mortals. (Sarah can choose which benefit they receive for free, Resources, Contacts, Influences, etc.)

Important Information Learned During the Party:

  1. Major Rumor about the Keeper: The Keeper was walking with Baron Omar talking when Echo saw them. He couldn't hear what they were saying but after about 15 minutes they stopped walking. She hugged him but he didn't hug her back. As she pulled away, she put a hand on his cheek and said something, then turned and walked away.
  2. The Keeper dislikes Echo because he witnessed this event and sold the info to someone.
  3. The Keeper hates that the Party was a success and would have much rather a Toreador of greater Status have organized and received credit for it.
  4. Keeper dislikes Quinton's Bois
  5. Primogen Cromwell is a Cleaver
  6. The Lady in Red exists and is in town, with powerful connections like one of California1s Senators.
  7. The Lady in Red has some kind of affinity with Spiders. Ifs not that she herself has any kind of supernatural ability, rather that something has inflicted this affinity upon her.
  8. The Senator and his Family are connected to the Kraken who is trying to be released.
  9. The Circulatory System exists.

  1. The Coterie's Status is reinforced leaving it less susceptible to being lowered.
  2. Primogen Cromwell's Status was lowered by 1 dot, going from 8 to 7.
  3. They Officially owe Mama Boyles a Minor Boon for her services.
  4. Quinton recovered 1 Humanity for putting his Touchstone in a risky position.
  5. The Coterie gained a free Background to be determined by Sarah.
