Personal history

Tawley was born to Prince Mavil during the reign of his grandfather King Boedilaire the Second. He was a bright young man, very studious, but also quite foolhardy. He was constantly running off to talk with royal soldiers and wizards, loving to hear their stories about lands far from the castle.
When he was old enough, he begged his father to let him join the army so he could go see these locations. King Mavil would not allow this, but did fund an expedition for him and four royal bodyguards to visit the outlying regions. This trip would fundamentally change Tawley. He saw beautiful vistas, majestic mountains, and the sunset over the Coriana Gulf, and he wanted more.
When his father stepped down making him king, he began a campaign to grow the empire and claim for his own the beautiful lands he'd fallen in love with. With the might of the Boedilian Empire, he defeated the Jadini tribe by taking their largest settlements across the shores of the Coriana Gulf. While the campaign would continue north up the banks of the Red River, King Tawley would stay there and order masons and carpenters from Boedilair City to come and build up the area, renaming it Velsia, after the Goddess of Love.
He would live in Velsia for the rest of his days, promoting the area and awaiting the construction of a new castle. He was subsisting on the fresh seafood from the gulf, when he developed a mysterious disease that would kill him after only a few days.
