King Panolian was the first son of King Boedilaire the First, and the second ruler of the Boedilian Empire.

Panolian Kaiser was born after the founding of the Boedilian Empire, into royalty, at a time when King Boedilaire the First was settling down and ruling from his castle in Boedilair rather than on the battlefield. He was raised by his father and the king's generals to be the next king. He read books on warfare and tactics, and was forced to attend battle training, though he never saw actual combat.
His father died when he was but nineteen years old, and he was crowned king straightaway. He took to leadership naturally, and was known for his shrewd tactical mind. Under his rule, the empire would conquer Jadini settlements to the west and south, and effectively doubled the size of the empire before his death.
