Akadian

The official language of Akad and the most spoken language of the Ronara and surrounding lands, Akadian is considered beautiful by as many as find it harsh and ugly. It has perhaps the most precise syntax and complicated grammatical rules of any Human language, in line with the Akadi culture's obsession with laws and bureaucracy. Akadi magistrates have been known to order tongues chopped off for such minor offenses as conflating adjectival declensions or confusing the order of direct and indirect objects during trial.   Native Akadian speakers tend to have very thick and sometimes indiscernible accents in Eovoresh, making many of the consonant sounds more guttural and shortening vowels. However, they take incredibly well to Arenundim (Common Dwarven), which helps the Akadis with their many dealings with the Hill Dwarves of the Brownbones and the Mountain Dwarves deep beneath the Grimhorns.   Akadian uses the Akadi Alphabet, a derivative of the Hycin Alphabet but with elements of the Infernal Script, reflecting the nation of Akad's devotion to Loz, The Deceiver, whom they call Ozmaleus the Golden.
