Inyoni is cunning, intelligent, enjoys drinking before, during and after battle and is very emotionally unstable, which when combined with her personal combat skills and leadership of the Black Dogs Sullied Mercenaries (BDSM for short... she knows exactly what she did there) means that she's incredibly dangerous and unpredictable when crossed or paid to kill you.

She and her mercenaries were initially richly rewarded by the aliens to assist in their conquest of Africa but switched sides when presented with a massive quick cash grab, which ended in the majority of Inyoni's mercenaries ditching the company and retiring because their shares from that betrayal alone were enough to last them more than the rest of their lives and they doubted much longevity in continuing to work under Inyoni, as well as considering her a serious pain to work for due to factors like her generally being annoying, stealing everyone's alcohol, playing loud music late at night and the fact that everyone had to walk on eggshells around her.

General Physical Condition

Very dense muscles and flexible frame. Dances after battles to burn off adrenaline and excess energy, as well as to calm her nerves, but doing this after she's already worked herself to the bone fighting, and the fact that she always overworks herself in combat, means she often dances the line between gaining and losing muscle mass as it quickly regrows but is also worn away.

Identifying Characteristics

Scars, huge anime-tier hair of dreadlocks, a cool set of shades. Her lips extend the tiniest, barely noticeable bit further right along her face because of being cut there by the cat. Her voice is also very hoarse from so much yelling and so many screaming matches.

Right eye often twitches because of muscle damage from the scarring of her face. Ambidextrous.

She was born in a small hospital in a small town in South Africa, during which her mother's screams giving birth to her traumatised her 4-year-old older sister, and was a largely unexpected - but nonetheless extremely welcomed - child as Inyoni's mother experienced fertility-related issues since giving birth to her first child.

So anyway, 3-year-old Inyoni had a thing for sneaking out of her daycare and into the hospital to see both of her parents, and as a result 4-year-old Inyoni was simply kept at the hospital and escorted out of sight on the extremely rare occasion that anyone come in for a serious injury. This will backfire in 3, 2, 1:

An unusual patient, by virtue of being from out of town, came in with gunshot wounds. While he was lying in a hospital bed, he was identified as a member of the Red Dogs Mercenary Company, whose members were all wanted for a long a varied list of crimes - war crimes among them. Right as Inyoni's mum began reporting him to the police, she heard a wet slice and her husband hit the ground, gurgle in a desperate attempt to breathe for a few seconds, and die. Before she was even done turning around, the mercenary had sliced her throat open with a scalpel as well.

Inyoni's current babysitter, a nurse who hated that she'd expended so much effort becoming a qualified nurse to become a glorified babysitter because of some toddler that had snuck from a daycare to a hospital unscathed being the most accident-prone in that boring town full of boring people, came out and tried to hit the mercenary over the head with a metal box and this went about as well for her as you can expect - being a scalpel going left to right through her throat. Inyoni came out and was the only person there not to get their throat cut open, possibly because she was too short.

This mercenary couldn't bring themselves to kill a child, but also didn't want the kid to somehow snitch him out, and was somewhat panicking after killing 3 people with a scalpel in less than a minute while being somewhat short on blood in his veins himself. So he picked her up and kidnapped her.

Adaego, leader of the Red Dogs Mercenaries, looked at the little kid and went from "dude why did you bring this wtf am I supposed to do with thi-" to "wait a second children make for brilliant suicide bombers don't they?"

So anyway, Inyoni survived an attempt to use her as a suicide bomber because the explosives guy that rigged her up deliberately fucked up due to his unwillingness to kill a kid, although he passed this off as a legitimate accident, and Adaego saw through this and conceded on not killing the literal child. But she would get some use out of the child, one way or another...

Inyoni's was trained up to the age of 7, given a UZI, and brought into combat alongside Adaego's newer soldiers, who were brought in to replace those that had been killed by Aramis Donadieu's father and aunt and were deliberately recruited from slums and then trained rather than from poorly compensated veterans that she normally recruited, specifically those that had already been in gangs from young ages and took little issue with Inyoni's use in combat despite being only 7 years old.

During this period of being personally trained by Adaego, Adaego somewhat softened to Inyoni and pretended to Inyoni that she was Inyoni's biological mother, which on the surface of her mind she told herself was to help ensure more loyalty but oh yeah there was absolutely some deeper stuff there.

Inyoni's used continued up to 17 years of age, during which she grew more and more dangerous from both training and real experience, got gymnastics and parkour lessons paid for by Adaego, and got a kill/death ratio to make even the most depressing video game addict jealous. The Red Dogs fought Hamas during the North African Crisis, fought for Hamas during the North African Crisis, sat around during the Korean standoff, and in general were extremely involved in the world's conflicts from 2014 to 2025, and as a result Inyoni was too. Inyoni regularly tested boundaries and as she became less expendable and more threatening due to her growing strength and skill the reaches to which she could push them with disobedience, screaming matches with other mercenaries and eventually even Adaego, sneaking off to do various things like drinking alcohol or dropping wads of money on the counters of restaurants and trying out their food.

When Inyoni was 17, the Red Dogs were hired to guard a politician who was preaching for war between Egypt and Sudan+Ethiopia over the Nile's southern tributaries. Aramis Donadieu was among those tasked with killing the politician, and Aramis and Inyoni ended up in close-quarters combat with a bored cat watching them. Inyoni, being older and stronger than the 14-year-old Aramis, as well as very able to take advantage of his lack of depth perception and reduced field of vision from his lack of a right eye, was able to pin him down. While she was reaching for a knife she'd disarmed from him to kill him with he grabbed the cat and rammed it into her face, where it clung harder than Flex Tape itself.

Aramis broke free while Inyoni tried to pull the cat off, which left her face permanently covered in scars. Inyoni was unable to stop him because of the blood in her eyes, as well as simply being in agony, and he killed the politician.

Adaego was livid. The paycheck of the job hadn't been the issue, the fact that a war between Egypt and Sudan+Ethiopia would've been hugely profitable and that she'd been setting the pieces for other countries like Israel and Iran to get involved to make it even more profitable was. On top of that, she found it a whole lot easier to be a whole lot harsher to Inyoni when she could barely recognise her adopted daughter's face.

As penance, Inyoni was assigned to complete a small side-job. Go into guy's house, kill guy, leave. Inyoni did the first 2 things until she found newspaper clippings and notes in his study while looking for alcohol, and found newspapers regarding her in particular. Old memories resurfaced, the fact that Inyoni and Adaego didn't look alike clicked, and the fact that the missing girl in the newspaper pictures looked awfully similar to photos Adaego had taken of her soon after her kidnapping all made it extremely obvious to Inyoni that she was the missing girl. There was also information there regarding Petra, Egan, Aramis Donadieu and some other characters that went missing as children, but Inyoni wasn't all that interested in them, but also just for lore's sake it was the Multinational Brothel Chain that paid for the guy's death.

Inyoni confronted Adaego about this and made a big mistake: pulling out an UZI to threaten Adaego during the screaming match. Adaego mistook this for a legitimate attempt to kill her and responded in kind. Inyoni escaped, was almost killed again when she tried to extend the olive branch but instead killed Adaego with a knife slash across the throat in self defence. She ran away from the other mercenaries and survived for about a week roaming between towns and the wilderness, robbing shops of their food, water and alcohol and camping out in the wilderness. It was during this that her occasional drinking crossed into full-on alcoholism as she began using it as a coping mechanism.

During this, she thought about the life she would've had if she'd never been kidnapped, and that got her thinking about her older sister, Karabo.

She went to the house of her infancy and found that her sister, brother in law and nephew were living there. The next morning, she went into the back garden while her sister was there but other family members weren't home. Inyoni's sister immediately pulled out a pistol and pointed it at Inyoni thinking she was a robber, as well as utterly filthy and stinky as Inyoni hadn't showered in over a week, any was quickly disarmed and put in a headlock by Inyoni, who held her in that headlock while convincing her that they were, in fact, sisters by showing the newspaper clippings and photos of Inyoni that Adaego had taken.

They went inside and talked more. Karabo made use of Inyoni's willingness to drink absolutely any and all alcohol provided to put some additional sedatives in the alcohol before giving it to Inyoni, learned as much as possible from Inyoni while her tongue was loose, brought her to the attic, made a bed and let Inyoni pass out on the most comfortable bedding she'd had in years. Karabo explained the situation to her husband when he got home with their child, still an infant, and they eventually decided they'd be fine with keeping Inyoni there so long as she behaved herself...

Inyoni accidentally bruises their nephew picking him up due to her overly strong grip, is incredibly messy, eats food right out of their fridge, drinks all of their alcohol one night during a fit of crying, shoplifts alcohol, breaks a chair - not the only thing she breaks - into pieces for seemingly no other reason than venting her anger and punches her brother in law when he tries to stop her from drinking dangerous amounts of alcohol. Inyoni's sister calls the police after pulling the same sedative trick and Inyoni is half-asleep when the police pull her into a van.

When she came to, she beat up the 2 police in the back of the van with her, took her UZIs and knife back from one of them, beat up the driver, dragged them all out of the van and onto the side of the road and drove off with the van feeling extremely betrayed by her sister and with trust issues made stronger.

She fought as a freelance mercenary, primarily for American private contractors, during which she gained some leadership skills and met some other mercenaries. Finally having her own income and being able to spend it as she wished, she quickly became extremely lavish in how she lived, buying random things she never actually used and letting them pile up in the house she bought under an alias in Madagascar with the help of an accountant, also her first real friend, that she paid off the student debt for and who doubled as her scribe, as Adaego had never taken to teaching her how to read, and later a bureaucrat when she started the Black Dogs. She ate more, which only led to her muscles becoming denser, her alcohols got more expensive, and she encountered plenty of filthy rich people who paid her to fight and gained a dangerously strong understanding of the power of money, resulting in extreme greed.

She formed the Black Dogs Sullied Mercenaries, a name she was unwilling to change after learning what else BDSM stood for, and which many members of the collapsed Red Dogs Mercenary Company and the mercenaries she'd fought alongside under American contractors joined. Their profitable ventures together allowed Inyoni to form bonds that she didn't realise the deepness of with certain members of her new mercenary organisation. Her cunning was finally applied to larger groups, and she quickly became a brilliant strategist - albeit with the frequent issue of overestimating the capabilities of her mercenaries resulting in them either realising they were more capable than they realised and plans going amazingly or them failing and Inyoni and the other elites among the mercenaries having to pull insane clutches.

Inyoni developed further addictions and vices during this. She had already enjoyed fighting, but it transformed into her enjoying being challenged in combat to the point where she'd personally go in and take on fights she shouldn't have been able to win for the fun of constantly knowing that a single mistake would be her end. Her alcoholism got worse. She got even greedier, often trying to get contractors to pay her more (and usually succeeding) and seeking to find other ways to maximise the wealth from every operation, like looting everything within a several mile radius of where she fought enemies - including robbing civilians at gunpoint who'd had nothing to do with any given conflicts.

There was a phase where the Black Dogs were at war with an American company that had preemptively assassinated several Black Dogs and attempted to kill Inyoni as well because they didn't like losing contracts to Inyoni despite the Americans having better equipped forces as well as being jealous of the reputation (she was known world-wide for the stuff she'd done by this point and even had some fans... she loved the attention) she'd built up being what was losing them the contracts rather than her company actually being the superior option. She personally killed the company's CEO, forced the company to dissolve and took most of their equipment, which included several attack helicopters and tanks.

Finally: the aliens crash into South Africa, not too far from where Inyoni's sister lives, in 2028 when Inyoni is 21 years old. Inyoni would've normally chased the money to just sit around there, but something compelled her to fulfil a different obligation and she instead found her sister and got her and Inyoni's other relatives and in-laws through her to come with Inyoni by boat to England, where Inyoni had paid for fake IDs and papers with her accountant's help while she assigned her second in command to the encirclement with the command to immediately run away, hide or surrender if the aliens actually attacked (she'd seen footage of the infighting of the aliens and knew her mercenaries would be slaughtered if they fought back).

Inyoni returned to find that the aliens had indeed attacked and that her mercenaries were being held captive by General Kisk, who she met with and struck a deal with to be the first human mercenary company to fight for the aliens, opening the way for other human mercenaries to fight for the aliens and enjoy the rich rewards the aliens had to offer them.

6 months later, Inyoni was secretly hired by Commander Lolok because a unit under the command of Arno, which - without her knowing - included Aramis Donadieu, had attacked a base Commander Lolok was tasked with guarding and which contained a device holding blueprints for Goner weapons and technology and seized the device. Inyoni's task, and that of other mercenary companies, was to reclaim the blueprints without Lolok's higher-ups learning of the incident (as they'd have him executed for the screw-up).

She was dissatisfied with the pay on offer...

Nearly useless with any kind of gun where you have to pull the trigger multiple times to fire multiple shots as, despite having amazing aim, she's so unused to having to pull the trigger for each shot that she ends up just holding the trigger in a vice grip.
