Modifiers

Modifiers, on the other hand, view The Code's creations as theirs to control in turn. They study the code to learn how to change it, in attempts to change fate itself. They see the power possible in all of creation, and see modifications and expansions as a form of worship to the source code.   Modifiers, of the main mentalities of worshiping The Code, are more likely to not realize they are worshipping The Code. In fact, some think they do not worship anything; but by believing in a vaguer power, they believe in The Code .   Modifiers believe that there is power in all of creation and that they can unlock that power by studying or changing it, from smaller concepts all the way up to changing fate itself.   When The Ender Lord was mortal, and still in immortality, xey believed in this infinite potential. Xey passed that belief onto their followers, and overall ender beings believe that they can change things for the better and that they have that autonomy and power within themselves.   While that belief is noble, in its extremes there are those that believe that some are not deserving of that power and attempt to control or diminish the power of others in order to better unlock their own. There are also those that believe they can change life as it exists, and experiment on the living in an attempt to control the outcome of life. In even fewer cases there are those that believe that everything is malleable, including fate itself (if they believe in it).   The more moderate versions of these are realized as those that believe they have full control over their life, and reject the thought of anything else controlling their lives besides themselves.
