Grim Age

The Grim Age is the period of time pertaining events such as the Awakening of the Ancient Empires, the War in Heaven, the Prethoryn Scourge, the Contingency, the Extradimensional Invaders, and the Omega Empire.

This age is filled with strife, the deaths of billions, and the very existence of life lingering in the balance of wars and conflicts that occur in this age. It began with a cold war that was quickly thawing between the United Federation of Nations, now reformed into a single hyperpower, and the several Fallen Empires that began to awaken from their slumber. This culminated in a War in Heaven; only 1 empire would emerge victorious and the balance of power in the Milky Way would forever change.   Meanwhile, over malevolent forces beyond politics or reason would join the galactic theater. The Preythoryn Scourge, the Contingency, and the Extradimensional Invaders, would wreak havoc across the galaxy. But none would compare to the chaos brought forth by the Omega Empire. In one of the darkest ages of the Federation, 300 years of battle would either secure Federal dominance or its destruction.
