The Interplanetary War was a large war between the United Terran Federation, Koslovics, Friedens, and the Sector Defense Front.

The Interplanetary Secessionist Wars (2316–2356) were a series of devastating conflicts that fractured early human civilization across the Sol system and nearby star systems. Sparked by resistance to the formation of the United Terran Federation (UTF), militant factions like the neo-communist Koslovics and fascist Friedens launched uprisings across Mars, Luna, and the Jovian moons. Proxy wars, including the Narion Conflict, Rainforest Wars, and the Mars Campaign, escalated into full-scale warfare against the UTF and each other. The UTF ultimately crushed both factions by 2332 with the Callisto Armistice, establishing dominance over most colonial territories. Around this time, the theocratic House Va’ruun emerged, launching the Serpent’s Crusade (2340–2343) in a failed attempt to forcibly convert the Settled Systems to its faith. After its prophet Jinan Va’ruun’s death, peace was brokered under his son, Jarek, though Zealot insurgents endured.   In 2356, extremist remnants of the Koslovics and Friedens agreed to work together and ignited another rebellion, beginning with a surprise attack on Geneva that decimated the UTF fleet. Only two surviving ships waged a prolonged guerrilla campaign until UTF marines recaptured Mars. The UTF emerged stronger than ever, bolstered by renewed recruitment, consolidating its status as the dominant human power in space.
