*This condition uses the rules found in Living in Theria, a 3rd party resource for DnD 5E

Severity Level 3 This bacteria is found most commonly in area where elm trees are plentiful, especially along the border of Nethlir and Lenedell. It is carried by elm bugs and can be transmitted to humanoids. Initially, an infected person will become more fatigued than usual followed by an itchy rash. Scratching the rash can spread it further. If left untreated, this rash can quickly cover a persons entire body. After making contact with the bacteria, the target makes a Constitution save with a DC of 15. After one full day symptoms present in the afflicted individual.
Chance of Infection Moderate in heavily forested areas. Fairly high when in the woods on the border of Nethlir and Lenedell.
Symptoms A triangular rash that starts around the size of an inch and begins spreading throughout the body, spreading even faster if the wound is scratched or picked at. After 1d12 days, the rash will cover a persons entire body.
Transmission Can be spread by elm bugs to humanoids, and can also be spread between humanoids via contact with the wound.
Diagnosis When symptoms present a Wisdom (Medicine) check with a DC 15 can be made.
Treatment Level 3 Treatment is advised. After treatment the rash will spread no further, but will persist for 1d4 days. Restraining the afflicted individual can also slow the spread of the rash, covering the afflicted individual in about half the time.

Prognosis

Elm Itch presents itself initially as a triangular rash about an inch in size. It continues to spread across the body, becoming more dangerous as it goes. Scratching the itch will not only spread it faster, but also create open wounds which can open up the opportunity for other ailments. If left untreated, the rash can cover the afflicted individuals' entire body, though it would be rare for someone to survive that long.
