SP-2

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The SP-2 is chambered in .475 BCPR using a 5-round internal magazine that would be loaded with a stripper clip.   To load the weapon, the operator would pull the slide back, which is then held open by an internal catch. The stripper clip would be inserted, and the 5 rounds would be charged into the magazine. Pressing down on the bolt release located inside the trigger guard sends the slide forward and arming the gun. The hammer can be manually lowered to render the gun "safe".

History

The SP-2, designed and built by the Bolus Company's Firearm Design Department with the purpose of being the standard issue sidearm for their in-house security forces operating in the Olthotez Ropout. It also often landed in the hands of the Olthotez Ensonods, and even a semi-skilled gunsmith could modify the clunky pistol into various configurations.
A stock SP-2   Each pistol had a serial number that indefied where and who built it. For example, the SP-2 with serial number SPB1020174C2 means it was built on Bolus-1 (B1), Factory 2 (02), Floor 1 (01), Employee 74 (74), 3rd run of 1000 (C), gun 2 of 1000 (2).

Significance

The SP-2 was the second model of the Service Pistol (SP), and became an unofficial icon of the SecForce.
