The Tooth Taker's Curse

The Tooth Taker's Curse a game of knucklebones between one or more players and the Tooth Taker, where the players gamble their own teeth for the Tooth Taker's golden ones.   The game is played with six, six-sided dice - three for the PC(s) and three for the Tooth Taker. Each round, both the PC and the Tooth Taker roll their dice in a circle on the ground and compare the number of teeth they earned using the dice that landed in the circle.   The value system is made to simulate actual knucklebones so the two and five are considered to be "out of bounds" having rolled outside the circle. All other numbers are valued normally.   Scoring
  • **Buck**: The one with the highest value die of all the dice rolled by the PC and the Tooth Taker adds 1 tooth. If tied, no teeth are awarded for a buck
  • **Twins**: If the PC or the Tooth Taker rolls two of the same die values, they add 2 additional teeth to their total.
  • **Set**: If the PC or the Tooth Taker rolls three of the same die values, they add 3 additional teeth.
  • **Takers Curse**: If a PC rolls a [1, 1, 1], it's called the Taker's Curse, and the PC loses 1d6 teeth.
  • **Takers Boon**: If a PC rolls a [6, 6, 6], it's called a Taker's Boon, and the PC gains 1d6 teeth.
  Payout
  • **Pay Out**: The PC and the Tooth Taker tally total number of teeth they earned this round. The one with the greater number of teeth earned that round wins the round and the loser pays the difference of scores in teeth to the winner.
  Special
  • **Save**: Each time the player loses a tooth, they may make a [Willpower (Hard)] save to remove either the [Restrained] or [Charmed] condition.
