The Bowshot Run
The only landmark of interest near Tyrluk lies in the trees just west of the campground: Bowshot Run, an arrow-straight track through the forest. This flat, grassy strip of land has been cleared of shrubs and trees, and it mysteriously remains that way despite the encroaching wilderness. It begins and ends abruptly in the forest, with no visible ruins, cairns, or other clues to its origins. Locals have dug at its ends and along its length over the years, occasionally uncovering fragments of Moonstone but nothing else of note.
Some sages speculate that Bowshot Run was once a ritual pathway to a now-vanished temple, but no definitive evidence has ever been found. Today, the path serves as an archery range, with trees along its length marked for distance. While it attracts hunters and travellers during the day, locals strongly warn against visiting after nightfall. Not only do the hunters not hesitate to fire at movement in the dark, but there are persistent stories of a wolfpack that haunts the area.
