Tarv Abbot

Tarv Abbot is the elderly manservant who runs the household staff of Duskfall Manor, for Lord Barlam Duskfall and his family.

Tarv is a genial gentleman, who affects a curmudgeonly attitude with humour - and professional in his duties. Although his past is somewhat of a mystery, having previously served in Marsember but leaving in a hurry as a young man, he fell into the service of the then Lord of Tyrluk, Larris Duskfall and remained in service to the family through further generations. He has been known to, after a drink or two, be convinced to show off his ability to swallow swords as a party trick.
He is however, consistently taunted by Aelira Duskfall whom has great affection for him; and saw him more a father figure than Barlam Duskfall.
