Aelira Duskfall

“The world is a stage, and I’ll write my own script.”

Overview

Aelira Duskfall is the 19-year-old middle child of Lord Barlam and Lady Elisse Duskfall. Spirited and headstrong, Aelira dreams of leaving behind the rigid expectations of her noble lineage to become a bard, travelling the world and crafting her own legacy. Her rebellious nature and disdain for structured nobility often put her at odds with her family, but she is determined to prove her worth on her own terms.
Though her aspirations are dismissed as fanciful by her parents and siblings, Aelira’s passion and creativity shine in everything she does, hinting at her potential to become a truly great performer and storyteller.

Aelira is a striking young woman with a lean frame and an air of effortless charm. Her raven-black hair often tumbles loosely over her shoulders, and her dark green eyes gleam with mischief and curiosity. Aspirations

Aelira longs to escape Tyrluk and the confines of noble life to become a travelling bard. She spends hours writing songs and poems in secret, dreaming of performing before crowds in Suzail or across the Sword Coast. Her lute, a gift from a wandering minstrel she befriended as a child, is her most treasured possession.
She believes music has the power to inspire change and heal wounds, a philosophy she hopes to prove through her art.

    Family Relationships

  • Barlam Duskfall: Aelira respects her father’s wisdom but feels stifled by his insistence on duty and tradition. Their conversations often end in frustration.
  • Elisse Duskfall: Aelira’s relationship with her mother is strained, as Elisse views her bardic ambitions as frivolous and unbecoming of a noblewoman.
  • Varyn Duskfall: Aelira finds her older brother pompous and condescending, frequently clashing with him over his attempts to “lecture” her.
  • Fenn Duskfall: Aelira is protective of her youngest brother, often using her wit to distract or cheer him up despite his spoiled nature.

    Reputation

In Tyrluk, Aelira is known as the “wild Duskfall,” her frequent trips into the village and love for music making her a polarising figure. While younger villagers admire her free spirit and talent, many elders see her as reckless and ungrateful for her noble heritage.
Some villagers have even heard her singing in secret, captivated by the beauty of her voice, though she denies it if confronted.
