Oberon

The Green Lord (a.k.a. Lord of Beasts)

Oberon, known as the Lord of Beasts or the Green Lord, is a towering, muscular faerie with oak-colored skin, wild black eyes, and hair intertwined with brambles. He dons a cloak of green leaves stitched onto brown leather, embodying the untamed essence of the Feywild.   As a stern protector and warrior, Oberon relies less on illusion and more on physical prowess, unafraid of direct combat. He possesses spell-like abilities, including charm person, detect magic, and plant growth, and is immune to poison, disease, and nonmagical weapons. His attunement to fey forests allows him to sense and influence every tree and stream within them.   Oberon's arsenal includes a staff that functions as a Changestaff, a longsword capable of casting light and sunray, and a longbow that can enchant arrows daily. He also carries specialized arrows for hunting specific creatures and nonlethal pursuits.   While Oberon is the consort of Titania and father to archfey such as Damh, Verenestra, and the Prince of Frost, their relationship is notably tempestuous, oscillating between deep affection and rivalry. He leads the Green Fey, a faction of wilder, nature-oriented fey like satyrs, dryads, and treants, as well as some elves residing in the Feywild.   Oberon's children, both fey and mortal-born, are scattered across the realms, some unaware of their heritage. Their latent bloodline often awakens during pivotal moments, leading them toward destiny or peril. Some become warlocks bound to his will, while others manifest unique gifts that set them apart. A few govern hidden dominions within the Feywild, their connection to Oberon whispered but seldom acknowledged openly.   During the Feywild War, a brutal conflict that spilled into the Material Realm near Cormyr, many of Oberon's children - princes of the Fey - were captured and transformed into war abominations, serving as weapons and guardians for Maeve, the Queen of Thorns. These beings, now known as the Harbingers, stand as eternal reminders of what was lost, powerful entities enslaved by their captors.   Rumors persist that one of the Harbingers remains hidden, a result of an ill-fated union between Oberon and Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. If true, such a secret would shake the foundations of both courts.
