Master Patch

While technically each of the Masters holds the same rank, Patch is the least amongst equals. While it may be because he is a humanite, Samsa actually thinks that he is simply not placed as highly within the ranks of the Draconites as the rest of the ship officers. But my does he seem to want to climb the ranks. A bootlicker beyond all belief, he lives at the beck and call of the rest of the officers, and more or less ignores the crew unless they specifically require his skill set. For their part, the crew pretty much avoids interacting with him. They don't necessarily like being outranked by a humanite, but for a ship's officer, he doesn't give many orders. And, his skills as a data spider mean that the crew succeeds at their tasks, and his particular position can often in obvious ways lead to crew members staying alive. An officer that stay's out of the crew's way, and keeps them in good shape? Honestly, if he weren't such a worm, he'd probably be the most popular of the ship Masters.
