The Vault of Aldoris

This is an underground vault constructed by the order of Queen Varriya of Aldoris. Using a combination of both elementals and slave labor a three chamber treasure vault was constructed to provide secure housing for the most valuable possessions of the Coven of Aldoris. The vault is at the base of the Black Foreland where its entrance is concealed by both a livestock corral and illusions spells. The vault is very secure with a variety of traps and magical guardians being placed to protect the vault's treasures.

Purpose / Function

The vaullt has two purposes. The original purpose was to house the majority of the Coven of Aldoris' accumulated treasures. Later, after the Coven had secured the cooperation of a powerful necromancer, the vault was expanded to house the containers for clones of each one of the Coven's members.

Alterations

Orignally the vault consisted of single large room. But once the cloning program had been set out upon two new chambers, both concealed behind secret doors, where built. The original chamber was established as a false treasury. The two chambers are respectively a new treasury and a chamber for the vessels for the clones.

Architecture

Elementals dug out rough passages and chambers. To make the space secure and more watertight a layer of cement and dressed stone was used to line the chambers. Parts of the complex had lead sheets emplaced between the outer rough stone wall and the inner dressed stone surface.
