Permanent Garrison of Zareb

This is a force of professional soldiers maintained by the Majaran Empire to garrison the city and enforce its occupation of the city and the surrounding territory. This force consists of four companies of artillery assigned use and maintain of the numerous engines incoporated into the city's defences. Additionally, the garrison inlcudes eight companies of crossbowmen, four of heavy foot, two companies of archers, one squadron of light cavalry and one squadron of heavy cavalry. The cavalry forces priamrily patrol the Zareb plateau. The heavy foot alternate between garrisoning the city and patrol the immediate area around it. Typically the foot soldiers are supplemted by a detachment of crossbow or bow armed troops. Magical support for the garrison is provided by the Coven of Zareb and a group of ten war mages.
