Formerly an Alyite scout and Atheneis original sword sister. Originally Atheneis' lover, the two women are close friends but no longer romantically involved. She is a general in the Royal Army. She is the bastard daughter of a Southron Corgerian nobleman and his Dark Corgerian Mistress. She is dark skinned with dark hair. She stands 5’, 8” tall and is very well-muscled but also strikingly beautiful. She typically wears fine silk clothing, but when in the field wears weather beaten leathers and chain mail. She loves to gamble, dance and drink, but does not do any of these things to excess. Her favored weapons are the long sword and the short bow. She has become a shrewd merchant raising large herds of sheep and breeding fine horses on her estate. She uses her shipping connections with her spouse and her friend Lanta to send her wool out and bring in a variety of products.

Personal history
Norissa was the bastard daughter of a Southron Corgerian nobleman and his Dark Corgerian Mistress. Her mother died when she was thirteen and shortly after her death her father began to molest her. At age 15, Norissa was determine to save herself form further abuse and ran away planning to go north to Pandra and join the order. Her escape was facilitated by Marria Kath, a southron merchant who was both sympathetic and attracted to the girl. She took Norissa north with a trade caravan. During the journey Norissa became her mistress for the duration of the journey. The pair parted in good company with Marria arranged for another merchant to bring her the remaining distance to Pandra. Marria providied her with a horse, clothing and money for the last leg of the journey. Norissa joined the Alyites as soon she arrived at Pandra. She arrived within days of Atheneis Majara and two found themselves in the same training cohort. The two girls quickly became romantically involved and were tracked to become officer cadets.

Norissa received a basic education while she was growing up. Her education continued as an officer-cadet with the Alyite Order. The Order trained her as an officer of scouts.
Employment
Until age 22 Norissa served as an Alyite officer rising to the rank of Senior Lieutenant before taking leave from the order and joining Atheneis expedition to the Faroo. When she assumed the throne, Atheneis awarded Norissa the title of Baroness and soon named her a general in her newly formed army.

Raised in a noble household in Goutara and a regular denizen of the imperial Court, Norissa is comfortable among the upper classes. Her youth was spent in the Alyite ranks so she is equally comfortable among soldiers. Norissa spent her childhood in the south. In adulthood she married a Southron thus has a strong knowledge of Southron manners and culture. Despite the fact that she is a Dark Corgerian half caste her knowledge of Dark Corgerian culture is very limited.

Norissa is a proficient hunter. She does not trophy hunt, but enthusiasitically hunts for her own table. She is a keen judge of horses and races them on occasion.

Norissa has developed her rugged holdings using them to produce lumber, raise sheep, cattle and horses. She owns several ocean going vessels which she uses for trade, but also loans to the Imperial Navy.
