Elissa Marfass (a.k.a. The Painted Woman or the Mistress of Demons)
Elissa Kar Marfass (AKA The painted woman or the Mistress of Demons) – An infamous Necromancer said to have unsurpassed knowledge of demons and the undead. Marfass is said to have come from a family of minor nobility in one of the baronies to the East of the Windy Sea. Even as a youth she was believed to be more than a little mad, her insanity is now monumental, but calculating. She is thought to have first used demons and spirits to destroy her family’s enemies, but eventually turned on her own kin and eliminated them. After this she was driven into exile by the neighboring nobles who feared her growing power and madness. Since she has steadily built up her power and used it to carry out horrific attacks on those responsible for her exile. She is thought to currently reside in a castle she took from a pirate lord on an isolated peninsula on the edge of the northern ocean. She employs no human servitors in her holding instead using various undead and spirit creatures to serve and guard her.
Her appearance is said to be both memorable and shocking. She is said to be an exceptional tall, muscular and well-proportioned human woman stand over 6’ tall with piercing green eyes and hair that has turned a metallic golden color due to some magical process. Her body is said to be covered from head-to-toe with complex tattooed symbols said to grant her additional powers and protections. It is said she prefers to be seen naked or nearly naked so as to show off her appearance, which she is very proud of. It is also rumored that she has become a living vampire to gain immortality and physical prowess. She has made a number of magical modifications to her body including growing retractable claws that are coated with paralytic venom and having developed the ability to see in the dark.
People who fall into Marfass’ hands are said to suffer horrible fates. Some are sacrificed as payment to demons, some are turned into undead and yet others are said to be drained of blood and eaten by Marfass and her family. Shipwrecked sailors and those who live in villages just beyond her isolated holding are the most typical victims. Few adventurers who trying to steal the magical wonders that are rumored to kept in her castle have returned. Those who do typically have horrific stories of near death and pursuit by supernatural creatures.
Marfass is known to have at least three children ranging in age between 20-30. The other parent of each child is said to be a powerful demon. The three children are said to act as her agents and confidants. The eldest of these is her only daughter Ekara Kar Marfass (known as Shadow Walker). Her second child is Mardon Kar Marfass (The Giant) and her youngest Keldon Kar Marfass (the Viper).

Body Features
Her skin is very fair. Her arms, legs and neck are heavily tatooed with mystical runes and patterns.
Special abilities
Marfass has retractable claws coated with paralytic venom and very sharp teeth. If somehow unable to use her great magical powers she will turn these weapons. She is a very powerful necromancer.
Apparel & Accessories
She often wears little more than a halter and a loin covering usually of shear silk. She typically wears a cloak blue cloak that is possessed with some sort of magical power.
