The Raven Queen is a title that contains much prestige and honour. The title originates from the year 493 Y.A.C (Years After Creation) from the Raven Kingdom, A Shadar-Kai by the name Somos was selected by the Bird Goddess Ravica due to her Zealotry to her. Many Elves that were being abused and oppressed in the North migrated to this Kingdom making is the most diverse Kingdom of its Age. After the Raven Queen, Somos, died with no heir, the nobles of The Raven Kingdom elected a new heir, named Relisia who would rule for 56 years and establish the tradition of the title 'Raven Queen' being passed through election rather than through blood. The Raven Kingdom would exist for 1249 years after its creation before being united under King Pouuys I. King Pouuys I who inherited The Kingdom of Carthoga to the north campaigned hard to be elected the new Raven Queen. When he achieved this goal in 1742 Y.A.C he dissolved both Kingdoms to create the new Kingdom of Pouuys, but still held the title Raven Queen as to avoid backlash from the Raven Kingdoms population.

The title Raven Queen is often held by the King or Queen of the Kingdom of Pouuys but doesn't have to be. Whenever Zealous Raven Queen is in desperate need a black crown will appear on their head doubling modifiers given by the title Raven Queen, it is called 'The Raven Crown' and only lasts for a minute and is only visible to anyone who the wearer wishes. Whilst it is not a hereditary title it has never been given to someone outside a noble house, and since the civil war it has remained in the hands of the ruling family of the Kingdom of Pouuys, with the Current King Pouuys IX's brother Raven Queen Dageri III currently holding the title.

Raven Queen

The title Raven Queen originates from the old Raven Kingdom. This Kingdom ruled half the modern Kingdom of Pouuys. When the Raven Kingdom and The Kingdom of Cathoga merged the title 'Raven Queen' was given to King Pouuys I as an honorary title.

Shadar-Kai's Queen

The Raven Kingdom was a haven for Elves that were not High Elves or Wood Elves, however after tensions between different elven races died and the Kingdoms of Raven and Carthoga merged only the Shadar-Kai remained loyal to Raven Queen Pouuys instead of King Pouuys. To this day many uphold this tradition and gain some power from this ancient mystic title.

Title After Death

After the death of King Pouuys I the title was dismantled, and re-established by Queen Lucidia 199 years later, the title was no longer able to be destroyed. While the title is not hereditary and instead has a selected heir, often it ends up going to their Heir of the Pouuys throne. However during the Pouuys civil war the title was instead given to a Nobleman as the title changed to much and was almost lost again.

Modfiers

Gaining the title Raven Queen will automatically give +3 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom and Proficiencies in Charisma Saving Throws. The title also grants an Extra attack per turn. If a player gains the title they ca relinquish it to someone else, however in doing so they give up any chance of ever gaining the title again.
